Who dotes on their offspring of the opposite sex more?

I think moms sacrifice more. but that's just me. If I was broke and went whining to mom she'd quietly slip money in my pocket and whisper, "Don't tell your father." On the other hand a female friend of mine was desperate for a car in high school. Dad came through with one and the, "Don't tell your mother" stipulation. Always wondered. Who puts out more??
