Upper radiator hose has huge hole ?

No sign of it looking like it was going to blow. Drove home about a 15 minute drive and at a stop sign a street away noticed car was running a little hot. Got home into the driveway and white smoke coming from under the hood. Popped it and there was a huge hole in the top radiator hose. I drive a 01 eclipse gs and literally JUST had the water pump and radiator replaced.
